Privacy policy

Cashkaha shows which ATMs near you have cash, based on reports from people standing at those ATMs. It is run by Rohit Dangar, Junagadh, Gujarat, India.

Location

With your permission, Cashkaha uses your location to show ATMs near you and the distance to each one. When you submit a report, your current location and its accuracy are sent with it so the server can check you are within 300 m of that ATM. Reports from too far away are rejected. We do not track your location in the background and do not keep a location history.

Reports

A report stores the ATM, the status you chose (cash, no cash, machine down), optional details (notes seen, UPI, cash deposit), the time, and the location sent with it. To stop spam, each report is linked to a one-way hash made from a random ID stored on your device and your network address. Your raw IP address is not stored. Other users only see the status and how long ago it was reported.

Google sign-in (optional)

You can use Cashkaha without an account. If you sign in with Google, we store your Google account ID, name, email and profile photo so your reports and reporter points are saved to your account. Sign out any time from Profile.

Stored on your device

Saved ATMs and your language choice stay in your browser or app storage. Clearing site or app data removes them.

Third-party services

Map tiles are loaded from OpenFreeMap (OpenStreetMap data). Area names for ATMs are looked up by our server from OpenStreetMap Nominatim using the ATM's coordinates (never yours). Directions open Google Maps, where Google's own privacy policy applies. Google sign-in is provided by Google. No ads and no analytics trackers.

Data retention and deletion

Reports are used for live status for 3 hours and are then kept only for abuse prevention and statistics. To ask for deletion, email us.

Children

Cashkaha is not directed at children under 13.
